Here is an excerpt from an e-mail I wrote to some of my friends when I was in Vegas for SEMA back in November 2006,
“the imac has this photo booth standard on the
computer… built in camera at the center top of the
moniter and it has some cool functions and yada yada
yada… just wanted to share my .66 carat pavé diamond
hello kitty ring with you guys!
“

I worked three months of freelance and ate peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to save my money… lots and lots of hard work and no play so I could get this for myself at Neiman Marcus! I must say this: It was worth it.

Kimora Lee Simmons for Hello Kitty: pavé diamond ring in 18K white gold, rose gold bow, .66 diamond carat weight… It was the most expensive Hello Kitty purchase I have ever made. I had buyer’s remorse about a week later, but I got over it eventually. Why should I feel guilty? I worked hard for it and it makes me happy. That is what should matter, right?

I felt like having a honeydew flavored Boba drink this morning. So on my way to work, I stopped off at one of my favorite Boba shops, Volcano Tea. They didn’t open for a few minutes, so I stopped by Happy Six, the shop next door that has very very cute Hello Kitty stuff. You know what? Even if the Boba shop was open, I was still planning on checking out the latest merchandise from Happy Six. Check out the goodness below:

Happy Six has a lot of Hello Kitty, tokidoki and Harajuku Lovers merch — mostly clothing and accessories. They also had the tokidoki vinyl toys, as you can see in the window display.

That wallet is so darling!

Brown duffle bag seemed a little out of place since everything was so colorful, but I guess it made it to the window display for variety???

That bag is so sweet! It had different textures — satin and a canvas-like texture, some embroidery, subtle appliqué, sequins… beautiful, bright, happy colors… I love it! I really really want this — and my birthday is coming up this year! (hint! hint!)

Oh! Another bag that was too precious! I really like this one too… certainly on my wishlist!

There was a lot of Hello Kitty / Tarina Tarantino Pink Head jewelry pieces… I currently do not have anything from this collection… which is pretty strange (for me).

I went to Comic-Con with my brother Ed for the very first time last year. One of the best moments was when I saw Simon Legno (the creator of tokidoki — http://www.tokidoki.it/). I bought the vinyl toy he is holding (Mozzarella) and had him sign it!

If you look closely, you will see that he is wearing a Hello Kitty/tokidoki necklace.

I checked out his site later and saw this in the Collaboration section:

Awesome, huh?
