Oh! The things that go on only in the kitchen! Why would someone put a mustache on her? And a cigar in her mouth! (It is actually a picture of bread on that magnet). She doesn’t really have a mouth so she is not smoking, right? Thank you to Joii for letting me know about the Hello Kitty vandalism… The kitchen ain’t safe no more!

I’m going to make them! There are pdf files anyone can download from:
http://www.paperinside.com/characters/hellokitty Just print out the sheets. Some supplies you will need: cutting board, new x-acto blades and a knife, glue, something to score the folds with (I usually use a small paper clip), lots of time and patience… That’s about it! I can’t wait to start on mine! I will post pictures when I am finished!

I saw these in the Santa Monica 3rd Street store a few months ago. They are collectible blindboxed vinyl toys — so each time you purchase one (at $8 each) you get a surprise. I’m not completely sure I like that. There are ten in all, which means you would have to spend $80 plus tax to get one of each, and that’s only if you are lucky enough to get one of each. How probable is that?
Anyway, I still wouldn’t mind having a few of them on my desk at work… you know, to add to my Army of Cuteness.

How many other series will there be?

Why? Because I just felt a compelling motivation to make Joii and myself smile after lunch — and there were plenty of magnets on the fridge. On a side note: why is refrigerator spelled without a “d” and fridge spelled with a “d”?

Throw your peace signs if you are Asian!

Joii helped me shape Hello Kitty’s face from the magnets — because that’s what friends do. They encourage your obsessive behavior.

I wonder how long Hello Kitty’s face will stay on the fridge…

I went downstairs to have lunch and the first thing I saw was Mari’s bento box filled with gohan (rice in Japanese). I immediately went upstairs to get my camera so I can photograph this and post it on my blog. As would any other Hello Kitty Junkie would, right?

Awwww… I love surprises! Especially Hello Kitty surprises on a gloomy Friday morning! My friend Amandabot brought me this delightful light brown and gold handbag.

There are some cute details: shimmery gold and cream material, gold grommet-like buttons, subtle flower stitching in the gold, Hello Kitty’s face appliqué, embroidered eyes and whiskers — very subtle details give it a little extra umph.

Thank you Amandabot for thinking of me (not even my birthday yet) and thank you to Amandabot’s crazy roommate for not wanting this.

Because people generally think I am crazy about Hello Kitty (and I am)… and my boss Amul has told me I should do something positive with this Hello Kitty obsession, I am creating a blog that is completely dedicated to Hello Kitty… So I hope all those happy people who love Miss Kitty White as much as I do will enjoy this blog.

I went to Comic-Con with my brother Ed for the very first time last year. One of the best moments was when I saw Simon Legno (the creator of tokidoki — http://www.tokidoki.it/). I bought the vinyl toy he is holding (Mozzarella) and had him sign it!

If you look closely, you will see that he is wearing a Hello Kitty/tokidoki necklace.

I checked out his site later and saw this in the Collaboration section:

Awesome, huh?

A little over six weeks ago, I posted this comment on my Joy’s Flickr page, “cutest cake in the whole wide world made by the bestest friends i could ever wish for!
” November was a pretty tough month for me — a lot of stress, sweat and tears at work (but I won’t go into detail because that mess was so last year).
Well, this is what my friends (Jessica, Joy and Sandi) made for me to make me feel all loved and stuff. It was so sweet and cute… I didn’t want to eat it, but I did — Sorry Kitty! Please Forgive Me!
