Celina Rei’s Hello Kitty Bobbleheads

Thank goodness for Celina Rei and Hello Kitty! Both always comfort me and make me happy. I had a really bad day at work yesterday (and that is actually an understatement). My co-worker and friend Natasha told me I shouldn’t be upset or cry because Hello Kitty wouldn’t want me to. And you know what? That is so true. So I cheered up a bit after that.

One of the best things that could possibly happen to me after a bad day at work is to come into work and open up an e-mail from Celina Rei with an attachment of her latest Hello Kitty additions. She didn’t even know about my bad day at work… It’s like she somehow knew I needed to be cheered up this morning. She is K-I-T-T-I-T-A-S-T-I-C! And she is definitely one of my kindred kitty souls!

Check out her computer screen in the background… Look familiar!? ;)

I plan on putting up a new desktop wallpaper for February tonight — so look for it tomorrow!

Hello Kitty Exclusives at Urban Outfitters

I saw these in the Santa Monica 3rd Street store a few months ago. They are collectible blindboxed vinyl toys — so each time you purchase one (at $8 each) you get a surprise. I’m not completely sure I like that. There are ten in all, which means you would have to spend $80 plus tax to get one of each, and that’s only if you are lucky enough to get one of each. How probable is that?

Anyway, I still wouldn’t mind having a few of them on my desk at work… you know, to add to my Army of Cuteness.

Building an Army of Cuteness

Thanks to my co-worker and friend Nic (nka Nicky Kitty, hehe), I will be building the Hello Kitty Army of Cuteness. This past winter season, the company I work for (No Good TV — http://www.ngtv.com) did the whole “Secret Santa” thing. Somehow, I got extremely lucky because my “Secret Santa” was Nic — and he knows far too much about my Hello Kitty obsession. Anyway, he got me a super cute lamp before we all left for break. When we came back to work after the new year, he gave me another gift — 12 Hello Kitty Chinese Zodiac animal figures!!! I was so stoked! (Still am actually). Especially because I know these are imported, which means they are more rare. Since Hello Kitty can be found pretty much anywhere (Sanrio Surprises, Momoberry, Neiman Marcus, Target, Mervyn’s, Wal-Mart, Payless Shoe Source, McDonald’s, Best Buy, Guitar Center, Hot Topic, Sidecca, Nijiya market, JapanLA, HappySix, JFK Airport giftshop, downtown LA in the garment district, JoAnne’s Fabrics…) I really love getting Hello Kitty stuff from overseas — so, a big big kitty kitty thanks to the very awesome Nic.

So, without further ado, I introduce to you my Hello Kitty Army of Cuteness, which will spread happiness and smiles to whomever they come into contact with.
