Thank goodness for Celina Rei and Hello Kitty! Both always comfort me and make me happy. I had a really bad day at work yesterday (and that is actually an understatement). My co-worker and friend Natasha told me I shouldn’t be upset or cry because Hello Kitty wouldn’t want me to. And you know what? That is so true. So I cheered up a bit after that.
One of the best things that could possibly happen to me after a bad day at work is to come into work and open up an e-mail from Celina Rei with an attachment of her latest Hello Kitty additions. She didn’t even know about my bad day at work… It’s like she somehow knew I needed to be cheered up this morning. She is K-I-T-T-I-T-A-S-T-I-C! And she is definitely one of my kindred kitty souls!

Check out her computer screen in the background… Look familiar!?
I plan on putting up a new desktop wallpaper for February tonight — so look for it tomorrow!

I received my first e-mail from Rochelle while she is visiting her family in the Philippines and this is what she had to say,
“Hi Maria,
My relatives in the Antique (pronounced: ANN-TEE-KEH) use this Hello Kitty mail holder. I thought of you and your blog. I also have one more pic of Kitty (mermaid doll) in the Manila Trinoma mall, at an arcade. Will send it in a few weeks cus its in my brother’s camera & he does not get back til another week.
See you on Monday!

Rochelle”

Thank you — You are awesome! And I look forward to the picture of the Hello Kitty mermaid doll!

Hello Kitty Junkie got linked on a Hungarian web page! I feel so special! I am under the section “Fan kublock” which translates to “fan club.” How awesome is that!? I was so happy, I thought it necessary to log back into my AIM account to tell Dani and Daryl… They probably do not care much but I had to tell somebody!
Thank you Hellokitty.lap.hu

Sanrio’s phrase is “Small Gift, Big Smile” and it totally fits. I believe Hello Kitty and her friends promote happiness, kindness and love (while taking in more and more $$$ each year). Or maybe the people over at Sanrio know how to market their products extremely well. Anyway, all the little things I have received from family, friends, co-workers, even strangers… have all put a big happy smile on my face!
I seem to get a lot of stationery from people. My friend Charles gave me a Hello Kitty surprise after I got him some riding shorts for his B-day… He didn’t have to and I wasn’t expecting anything. But he got me a little something to say Thanks — and that totally made my day! How can it not make your day when you get Hello Kitty stuff out of the blue? Included in his little gift set was this violet notepad diecut in the shape of a pair of shoes…

This is a really cute notepad, so cute that my Mom and my ex-boss Chris both got it for me… I guess they both have great taste.

I bought the pink notepad because I wanted to leave longer messages for people in the office on cute paper (instead of the yellow post-its).

The inside sheets are so cute!

I love pink!

I think Celina got this pink letter set for me. I believe I wrote her a letter on it last year when she was living in Michigan (which would explain the missing stickers).

This Hello Kitty Valentine’s Day set is too cute — I had to have it! I’m not 100% certain it is a Valentine’s Day set, I just know that Sanrio Surprises had it pre V-day.

Dang… I need to start logging all of my Hello Kitty belongings because I am starting to forget how I got some things, like this blue letter set…

I have no idea if this really smells…

When I was in the third grade, my friends and I started a sticker club. My collection back then was made mostly of Lisa Frank stickers… I may still have some hidden in some random boxes in my garage somewhere.
Stickers made me happy then… And they keep me happy now.
Someone gave me the Halloween stickers, which are so cute! I love The Wizard of Oz too!

I don’t know why… I just cannot resist sometimes…

The My Melody and Hello Kitty stickers below are two sections from a big roll. I love how cute they are all dressed up in different colorful outfits.

I am missing some stickers on the My Melody sheet because I like decorating inside of cards when I write in them. *Reminder to self: I really need to get in the habit of buying at least two of everything.

The Little Twin Stars and My Melody sticker sheets are some of my favorites! I have been saving them because I really love them — they are raised plastic glittery stickers. I have some Hello Kitty ones too but the sheet is almost empty because I try to put that onto a lot of personal cards I give to my friends.

I found these at the same little shopping area near Happy Six and Volcano Tea (yummy Boba)… I don’t know why but I can’t think of the name of the shop.

I love seeing Hello Kitty and Mimmy together — there should be more products with the both of them.

Both packaged are still in their wrappers because I have not decided what I want to make yet.
Both of them only came with 8 sheets.
And the sheets are all the same color.

In my quest to find a cute little Hello Kitty widget, I found this cool little flash game (and I won’t even say how many times I played in a row). I really enjoy playing puzzle games (like Tetris!) and how cute it Sanrio’s Jewels!

The highest level I reached was 7… hopefully I can improve.

I love my Mom, not just because she gave me birth, raised me and all that other good stuff… But, because she came over a few minutes ago to drop off some goodies for me.

My Mom is better than yours! Just playing… But seriously, my Mom is the BEST!

People find it funny when they see how crazy I am over Hello Kitty… But you know what’s funnier? When I have friends who carry on my obsessive behavior… Take my friend Joy for example… On the Thursday that just passed, I got an e-mail from her,
“Subject: Presents for Maria
Took what I found at Cost Plus World Market J“
Here are the attachments:

Yes, I know… Joy is an awesome kittirific forever friend!

Well, I do not have queen sized sheets to fit my bed (if I did, I would probably use them). So I guess my bed is not totally kittified. However, I do have my favorite blanket that I use all the time (thanks to my brother Ed).

Denise got me that Princess pillow for one of my birthdays, along with a huge fake pink diamond ring… The Hello Kitty plush dolls with the kimonos are from Chris (who was my boss at Marzocchi)…

The plush with the puppy outfit is from Momoberry… One of my first purchases there, it was too cute I had to have it. The pillow of Hello Kitty’s face is from Mervyn’s. The pink square pillow in the background is from my brother Ed, or is from my sister Anna? Anyway, Anna has one too (I was a little upset because I don’t want the same Hello Kitty stuff she has). Yes, very very silly… I cannot help the way my mind works sometimes…

The smaller Hello Kitty plush doll sitting on top of the red bucket is my Valentine’s Day present from Celina (I got her the same thing… Because great minds think alike).
